On the coast of York County Maine there is a charming little town were tourist flock during the summer months for fine dining, quaint bed and breakfasts, and quiet bike rides along the coast. But the real charm comes in the form of some exclusive shopping.
The store I absolutely love is called Dannah (fanciful accessories), located in the charming town of Kennebunkport, Maine. One of the best parts about being a woman (and there are many good things about being a woman) is all the fun accessories I get to decorate myself with. The variety of bracelets, earrings, handbags, and scarves is a limitless journey for my personal fashion canvas. Dannah's has a wealth of wearable fashion jewelry, handbags, and more...
The items at Dannah are designed with such care and quality. Check out the earring and necklace set I purchased.... it's a heavy jade color stone with an orange beaded accent.

Dannah's has many unique pieces sprinkled throughout the store. Take a look at this beautiful evening clutch I purchased for around 30 dollars, I love the slight Victorian aspects and the color is an expressive light, moody lavender. I love it!

And to think I almost passed up going into the store on the day we were leaving to head back to CT.

This is a beautiful store with many distinctive, well designed pieces, you'll want to set aside a good couple of hours just to attempt to view all of the accessories Dannah offers.

I love shopping!

As promised.....
I love this wine! It has a smooth, velvety mouth feel and taste of rich blackberry's and cherry's, with a subtle vanilla character.

I've always enjoyed shopping at consignment stores because I never know what I'll find...

The shoes were a find with two toned beige and metallic gold with yellow accent.

Sooooooo.... Looking forward to this.....

Last week on the Huffington Post there was an article stating its scientifically proven that dark chocolate and parmesan cheese are a match made in heaven.... So me being the foodie that I am, well logically I was curious. I love cheese and I love, love, love dark chocolate so why not? I knew I had the ingredients at home so I bravely stepped forward into the unknown...
Gluten free bread - Check!
Trader Joe's dark chocolate bar - Check!
Parmesan Cheese - Check!
...
Well my friends I'm here to tell you... Don't Believe The Hype!... Maybe the scientist were experimenting with various "ingredients" that day and decided, "hey lets try this". My suggestion skip the oily cheese and opt for the dark chocolate grilled sandwich (yum), your tummy will thank you for it. And let the culinary artist design the food pairings!

When it comes to being creative time and experience have taught me that I have absolutely nothing to fear. If there is an art form that I’m not trained in I happily push forward, fearlessly willing to encounter any new creative experience, because I know it will bring me joy. On the other side of the coin there are new events of non-artistic expression that leave me wedged in fear, and that cold fact can be hard to swallow.

For example back in March I went skiing for the first time. Skiing is something that I have desired to explore for a very long time. So I dressed in a puffy, poufy, electric blue jump suit, I strapped on my constrictive ski boots, grabbed my poles and hit the snow… And instead of the soul happy feelings I get when exploring new creative ventures, I was petrified by anxiety. I’m sure it didn’t help that the only thought running through my head before, during, and after my first skiing exploration was the tragic death of Sonny Bono. But when my ski’s touched the snow I had no “control”. I was slipping and sliding and falling in more ways than one… Frozen in frustration that every attempt to move forward on the slushy ice was a pointless effort. I was going nowhere fast. Tears began to glide down the slopes of my cheeks as a profound annoyance captured my core.

So my question, why do I get trapped in fear with some new experiences and relish in pleasure with others?
